Welcome to Metal Wiki, the ultimate metal database

James Marshell "Jimi" Hendrix (born Johnny Allen Hendrix in Seattle, Washington on November 27, 1942 and died in London, England on September 18, 1970) was an American musician. He rose to fame in the late 1960s and is now considered an icon of that era. He is probably most famous for helping create and pouplarize the sounds and technology (such as feedback and the wah-wah pedal), which would later be used by many hard rock and heavy metal artists, that were heavily influenced by Hendrix.
